COLUMBIA, Mo. - After Mizzou Soccer jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half, Iowa responded with two unanswered goals, defeating the Tigers, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at Walton Stadium. With the loss, Mizzou falls to 1-1-0 while Iowa improves to 1-1-0.Senior Melanie Donaldson (Florissant, Mo.) found the back of the net in the 17th minute of the first half. Donaldson headed the ball in from the front of the net after a corner kick deflected off the cross bar. The goal was Donaldsons first of the season and seventh of her career.Iowa scored the equalizer in the 83rd minute as Devin Burns snuck a shot past the Tiger goalie. The Hawkeyes added another goal just four minutes into the overtime period as Isabella Blackman found the back of the net for the game winner.Mizzou outshot the Hawkeyes, 23-12, in the game, led by freshman Sarah Luebbert (Jefferson City, Mo.), who had eight shot attempts. Sophomore Kelsey Dossey (Plainfield, Ind.) played the entire game in goal for the Tigers and made five saves.Mizzou returns to the pitch on Friday as the Tigers host Illinois at 6:30 p.m. CT from Walton Stadium.
